Looking for a good burger. Go to Sobelman's. The majority of their short menu is burgers, but they do them well. Before you get to the burgers, try a Bloody Mary. It comes with a surprising pile of (celery, pickle, onion, pickled asparagus, mushroom, olive, lemon slice, cheese, and sausage) We enjoyed the drink. It was sweet and smooth, not too spicy. The onion ring appetizer was average, as were the fries. The Sobelman's Burger was juicy, cheezy, and flavorful with minced jalepino peppers kicking it up a notch. The best part of the burger though was the bun. It was crisp, flaky and light. The atmosphere was that of a nice funky neighborhood bar. Comfortable, but not cutesy. Clean, but not sterile.
Overall, the burgers were above average. The fries and onion rings were average, and the Bloody Mary was great. We recommend Sobelman's. Good luck and 1,2,3 EAT

Melrose Family Restaurant
We found our first adventure just down the street at Melrose Family Restaurant. It's technically considered a Greek style restaurant, but with a variety of food that creates a challenge deciding on any one thing to order. After what seemed like hours deliberating I made a decision, the Chicken Pita. Nothing to adventurous but with sauteed onions, mushrooms, and green peppers and some melted mozzarella cheese inside the warm pita bread, I definitely could not pass it up.
All of those flavors added up to a savory sauteed taste. On the surface of the restaurant you might say it's just an average "white ocean" restaurant, but you really have to delve into the food to realize there's a reason why the older more experienced eater might dine at Melrose.
